The Spring 2018 Edition of the GameJam was scheduled for 2018 Mar 8–10. The competition started with a soft start on Thursday at 6PM and a hard start on Friday at 6PM and ended 10PM Saturday evening.

The theme was "Retro Remix". We had about 30 participants on 10 teams.

Congratulations to the winning teams!

  1. Life on Mars by Jacob Bernard (LukeAndFriends)
  2. Now I'm Just Confused? by Alexander Wardlow, Scotti Bozarth, and George Gray (unladenSwallow)
  3. Clyde by Caitlin Gaff, Lily Pratico, Eliza You, Imani Muya, Sam Barrett, Mary Newenhisen (SLICE'M)

Similar to F2017, each team can have at most 2 programmers but any number of other members (designer of graphics, music, sound, storyboard, character, level, etc.). All Taylor students are invited, from any major, not just CSE students or programmers. Freshmen are encouraged to participate. Bringing friends is also welcomed. The competition has a $10/participant fee to help in covering cost of trophies, snacks, and drinks. Meal transfers for Friday and/or Saturday evenings are available, but you must sign up before noon on Thursday, February 22. After the noon Feb 22 deadline, meal transfers will not be available.
